Sustainable development

  Sustainable development (SD) is a pattern of economic growth in which resource use aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met not only in the present, but also for generations to come, Environment, Local people, Future.
  Nowadays environmental problems is more and more seriously, not only in environment but also in economic. There are some kinds of way we can do and improve for the SD.
  For the individuals, firstly, we can use electricity and water saving appliances at home.  Secondly, recycle waste, and do not litter. Thirdly, take public transport, walk and cycle. I can feel that in my country more and more people prefer to take underground or walk, it’s a good trend for people to live a green life. On the other hand, the pressure of transport will also bring an environmental problem.
  For the companies, design and use equipment in factories and offices that consume less energy and water. Reduce packaging and recycle waste, by recycling and minimising waste, companies can help to conserve Singapore's precious resources. Research and use new technologies to save energy and water and reduce pollution.
  For the government, the government will reduce the energy and water consumption of government buildings, such as by installing more energy efficient systems and increasing indoor air-con temperatures. Enhance education and encourage people combine to protect the environment.
  SD will be a long way to go, but if we have confidence to solve it, the earth will recover her own appearance.
